Clarity Research is a full service marketing research company with two offices - one in western North Carolina and another in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

We specialize in survey research studies with consumers. Our forte is complex study designs - figuring out difficult sampling schemes and dealing with complicated survey design and analysis problems. We conduct Internet studies, mail and phone surveys. We also do a lot of face-to-face surveys such as product clinics, classroom-style studies, drive tests, intercept studies in malls, auto shows, conventions and more. We almost exclusively use hand-held computers for data collection in our face-to-face studies. Because of this, we are able to do some pretty interesting things with the integration of graphics, audio and video into our questionnaire designs. We can also turn complex data around very quickly.   • Full Service Research: We conduct research projects for select corporate clients, from start to finish, from initial design through reporting and analysis.

  • Consulting for Full Service Research Companies: Research companies hire us to execute a particular aspect of a study, such as CASI and a conjoint component, while they handle the rest of the study. Our role may be completely in the background or we may play an up-front role, consulting directly with our clients' clients; depending on their needs.

Senior Staff

Mike Curtis is one-half the management team of Clarity Research. His 20+ year research career has included stops at Moore & Associates, Maritz Research, Motoresearch and most recently he held a position of vice president at Synovate Motoresearch. Mike has a graduate degree in sociology from the University of Michigan, where his focus was on survey research methods.

Dave Pagnucco is the other half of the management team of Clarity Research. His 20+ year research career has included stops at Maritz Research, Motoresearch and most recently he held a position of vice president at Synovate Motoresearch. Dave is a graduate of the University of Michigan, and during his time there he worked at the Institute for Social Research.
